Three pieces—that’s what it took a police officer to press charges against a woman who grabbed sticks of French fries while having a decent meal at a restaurant in Washington D.C.
A woman was charged with theft after allegedly “stealing” pieces of fries from a plate of a police officer.
The police officer narrated that two women approached him at his table as he tried to eat his dinner at Italian Kitchen on U on a Wednesday night.
One of the women then grabbed a fry from his plate until she got her second piece.
“I then politely asked D-1 to not do that again because I paid for that food and she was stealing from me and she could be arrested for theft of my food,” the officer included in the police report.
The woman ignored and allegedly told the officer, “Well then you might as well take me to jail.”
Unfazed, she reached for a third piece and that’s when the police handcuffed her to end it all once and for all.
